Hunt Military Communities and Blue Star Families Partner with Facebook to Support Connectivity in Quarantine

With families struggling to feel connected during this nation-wide public health crisis, Blue Star Families (BSF) and Hunt Military Communities (HMC), two organizations with close ties to the military community, are teaming up with Facebook to help encourage connectivity for military families in Oceanside, CA.

Military families living at the Hunt Military Communities’ DeLuz Family Housing community, located in Oceanside, CA, who are feeling disconnected from their loved ones, are encouraged to share their concerns for an opportunity to receive a free Portal device from Facebook. Facebook’s Portal enables video-chatting with unique capabilities, including Smart Camera and Smart Sound, to enhance the quality of your video call.

There are 250 Portals that are being given away to DeLuz military families. Families are encouraged to complete a simple form which can be found on DeLuz Family Housing’s Facebook Page.
